چکیده :
Efficient battery thermal management systems for Li-ion batteries are crucial to optimize their performance, safety, and longevity for their wide range of applications from electric vehicles, and portable electronic devices, to grid energy storage systems. This paper provides some of the latest developments in the thermal management systems for Li-ion batteries to maintain their optimum operating temperature range. It also explores new trends in active and passive cooling methods and heat transfer technologies. Moreover, the issues related to developing effective, low-cost, and massive-scale thermal management for meeting the growing need for advanced Li-ion batteries are discussed. Lastly, it highlights areas of future research on hybrid cooling thermal management systems. This paper aims to contribute to improving the knowledge of the current progress in BTMS for lithium-ion batteries and to support the development of more efficient, safer, and sustainable energy storage systems.
