چکیده :
Switched Reluctance Motors provide an inclusive range of proper features including more rigidity, cheapness, simplicity, etc., that by considering recent developments in drive-associated power electronics grabbed the attention of motor designers toward more industrialization. However, noise and vibration are two common problems of this type of motor, which have been scrutinized in produced electromagnetic forces and known articulately as two factors including torque ripple and radial force. In this regard, wide kinds of techniques have been introduced to improve performance. The ease of implementation, particularly the rotor part, is the chief advantage over control methods. Thus, with the aim of improving magnetic forces, this paper introduces a new configuration of the rotor as W-shaped which has the weight and volume equal to the traditional model and can reduce the undesirability of magnetic forces. A comprehensive comparison alongside a regular structure and a skewed configuration is carried out to verify the effectiveness of the proposed combination.
