چکیده :
This paper presents a novel single stator single rotor axial flux permanent magnet (SSSR AFPM) motor designed specifically for use in electric dump-truck. The proposed motor features an innovative stator tooth arrangement, where the teeth are detached from the stator yoke. This unique configuration significantly reduces torque ripple and cogging torque, thereby enhancing the motor's performance. Key advantages of this design include ease of lamination, reduced manufacturing costs, simplicity of construction, high reliability, and minimal maintenance requirements. To evaluate the motor's performance, three-dimensional finite element method (3D-FEM) simulations are conducted. These simulations include a detailed thermal analysis to assess the risk of demagnetization and to determine the continuous rated power range of the motor. A prototype motor with 10 poles, 12 slots, a power rating of 27 kW, and a rotational speed of 2000 rpm is prototyped to validate the proposed design.
