چکیده :
A rapid and efficient analytical approach is presented in this paper for the estimation of air-gap flux density and no-load induced voltage in large cylindrical-rotor synchronous generators. The approach begins by assuming a linear magnetic circuit and neglecting the effects of rotor and stator slotting. These factors are then progressively incorporated to improve model accuracy, including the influence of slotting and magnetic saturation on the air gap flux waveform. Unlike the Finite Element Method (FEM), the proposed analytical method offers significantly reduced computation time while maintaining acceptable accuracy. Comparative studies with FEM results show a low deviation in air gap flux density and RMS voltage estimation.
