چکیده :
The development of Line-start motors in the past decade has focused on improving performance in fixed-speed applications, such as pumps and fans. In recent years, line-start permanent magnet flux modulation motors have attracted increasing attention. These motors offer the advantages of flux modulation motors, such as high torque density and direct drive, in fixed-speed applications. The induction cage in the rotor provides inherent self-starting capability, eliminating the need for a variable-frequency drive, thereby increasing system reliability and reducing overall cost. Therefore, they are considered a promising solution for some applications. This paper reviews the family of Line-start flux modulation motors with different magnet configurations and compares them with similar induction motors. Finally, the optimized structure was prototyped and tested, and the experimental results were in good agreement with the finite element computation results.
