چکیده :
The quality of impregnation of a stator has a critical effect on the lifetime of an electrical machine. In this article, we studied the impact of global vacuum pressure impregnation (GVPI) process parameters on the quality of impregnated stator with a resin of thermal insulation class C. In this regard, the possibility of controlling the thickness of a moisture and contamination protective resin layer with no air bubbles on the inner surface of the stator was investigated. The results indicated that the preheating temperature of the stator, the rate of reaching the onset temperature of curing and the GVPI pressure can control the quality of the impregnated stator and resin layer thickness. Moreover, it was concluded that GVPI pressure has the most significant effect on the average resin layer thickness.
