چکیده :
The most important factor that has led to the widespread use of magnetic gears and the ability of these structures to compete with their mechanical counterparts is the use of rare-earth permanent magnets. Despite the exceptional magnetic properties of rare earth permanent magnets, their high price, unstable supply chain, and price fluctuations are factors that have posed serious challenges to their use in magnetic gears. This study, using a new magnet arrangement and the simultaneous use of two types of rare-earth and non-rare-earth magnetic materials, has attempted to achieve the desired torque density while greatly reducing the final cost of the structure. It is worth noting that the new magnet arrangement, in addition to ensuring the achievement of the desired torque density at the lowest cost, has also brought about a reduction in the cogging torque. The proposed structure has been optimized using the genetic optimization algorithm and ANSYS Maxwell 2021-R1 finite element software, and detailed descriptions of all its electromagnetic characteristics have been provided. Comparison of simulation results of the proposed optimal structure with the conventional optimal structure has shown the superiority of the proposed structure.
