چکیده :
The lack of an accurate estimation of the initial position of the synchronous reluctance motor (SynRM) can lead to a reduction in the starting torque and a delay in the rotor speed response during startup. Several methods have been proposed to estimate the initial position of the SynRM. These methods can be categorized based on complexity, implementation, and accuracy in rotor position estimation. Some of these methods, despite their high implementation complexity, significantly reduce the error in estimating the initial position of the SynRM. However, some methods have the advantage of low computational complexity and ease of implementation but result in a higher error in estimating the initial rotor position. In some cases, the estimation error can be as high as 30 degrees. This paper examines the effect of errors in estimating the initial rotor position on the performance of the SynRM from different perspectives. To investigate the effect of errors in estimating the initial rotor position on the performance parameters of the SynRM, initial position errors of 0, 15, and 25 degrees were applied to various motor parameters, including electromagnetic starting torque and the time required for the rotor's mechanical speed to reach the reference speed. The simulation results obtained from the MATLAB/Simulink environment are presented.
