Power Quality Aspects of Double-Stator Permanent Magnet Synchronous Generators in Wind Farms

چکیده :
Due to the numerous advantageous of electricity, the demand for electrical energy is being increased rapidly and hence efficient generators producing high quality electrical energies will be required to optimize the energy generation capability. Meanwhile, Double-Stator Permanent Magnet Synchronous Machines (DSPMSMs) have widely been mentioned by many academic researches and different industries. Moreover, according to the importance of power quality and availability of clean energy, this paper focuses on power quality and harmonic analysis of electrical energy produced by DSPMSMs. To achieve this, main designing points of the DSPMSM have extracted from related literatures, simulated by two different optimizing algorithms and the outputs of the best design are compared with the characteristics of the proposed machine which is simulated in Maxwell. Considering the importance of high quality energies in today's world and developing electronic devices and their corresponding sensitivity, the outputs of the machine are analyzed harmonically by calculating Fourier Transform and harmonic orders in Matlab and the results are evaluated. Finally, it is concluded that producing more high quality power in smaller size of the generator is possible by considering the especial designing points of these kinds of machines. On the other hand, mentioned designing points can lead to a more-efficiency and an economic design.
