چکیده :
Electrical steels used for motor, transformer and generator applications are usually coated with an insulation coating in order to improve the performance of the material in terms of reduced power loss, punching and welding characteristics and corrosion resistance. In this paper, mutual adhesion possibility of two electrical steel insulation coating C-6 and C-5 from a reliable brand have been evaluated. In the curing and crosslinking process, all the functional groups of the polymer chain resin are not involved. Based on the adhesion theories and the characteristics of C-5 and C-6 varnishes, the functional groups of both resins can react not only with each other but also with the fillers and adhesion improvement agents in the resin and establish a strong chemical bond with each other. So, it is possible to apply C-6 varnish on C-5 mutually with a good adhesion.
