Static Eccentricity Modeling in Coreless Axial Flux Permanent Magnet Machines Using Magnetic Equivalent Circuit Approach

چکیده :
This paper presents a fast and accurate method for modeling static eccentricity faults in coreless axial flux permanent magnet machines with a single stator and two rotors. A quasi three dimensional magnetic equivalent circuit model is developed to study the effect of non-uniform air gap on air gap flux density and back electromotive force. A 390 W, 40 V, 3000 rpm machine is analyzed under healthy and faulty conditions using both the proposed model and three dimensional finite element simulations. Results show close agreement between the methods with negligible deviation, while the magnetic equivalent circuit greatly reduces computation time. The voltage across individual coils is identified as a sensitive indicator for fault detection.
