چکیده :
Railway power systems are very dynamic systems and therefore very vulnerable to stability-related issues. The main troublemakers in these systems are traction motor drives. In this paper, the control system of a DC motor drive system, with power converters in a specific configuration, is analyzed and designed using the small-signal modeling approach. The effect of this motor drive system on the DC bus stability is assessed through mathematical analysis. The overall system has been simulated using a full switching model, and the results prove the effectiveness of the designed system.
