چکیده :
This paper introduces various configurations of the three-layer overlapping winding in linear variable reluctance (LVR) resolvers. To evaluate the impact of the longitudinal end effect, each configuration is examined under three distinct scenarios: (i) both stator and mover assumed to be of infinite length, (ii) a finite mover length with an infinite stator, and (iii) finite lengths for both components. A two-dimensional, time-stepping finite element analysis (2D-TSFEA) is utilized to calculate the position error in each case. The results reveal that the optimal winding configuration varies depending on the scenario considered.
