چکیده :
High-performance induction motors use laminated rotor core designs to prevent unwanted eddy currents and reduce the power loss. In manufacturing these laminated rotor cores, geometrical tolerances play a vital role in maintaining proper stacking pressure. This case study focuses on determining the optimal geometrical tolerances for a 425kW induction motor core lamination. Multi step non-linear finite element simulations are conducted to obtain optimal parameters for core, fixture, and press plate design.
