چکیده :
In recent years, magnetic gears (MGs) have seen unprecedented development and numerous novel designs have been proposed because of their contactless characteristic and low noise and vibration. Yet, the expense of using magnetic gears may be a deterrent in small-scale industrial applications. The extensive usage of pricey neodymium or samarium cobalt magnets is the main cause of the high cost of magnetic gears. In low-frequency applications, ferrite permanent magnets present minimal eddy current losses and are affordable and widely accessible. Compared to most modern magnets, ferrite has a substantially lower energy (BHmax). Using two different kinds of magnets at the same time is an effective technique to obtain high energy and reduce costs. This paper presents the analysis of a coaxial magnetic gear that simultaneously employs rare-earth and ferrite magnets in its structure. The proposed structure is optimized by ANSYS Maxwell 2021-R1 finite element software and genetic algorithm.
