چکیده :
In the field of position and speed control resolvers are used. Resolvers are electromagnetic positioning sensors that are widely used in applications that are subjected to severe mechanical stress, environmental pollution, and wide temperature changes. Resolvers are divided into wound rotor (WR) and variable reluctance (VR) types. Although the variable reluctance resolvers have more compact size, their accuracy is lower than that of wound rotor type. Accordingly, this paper will try to improve the accuracy of variable reluctance resolver. First, the physical characteristics of a commercial resolver sample will be extracted through the study of catalogs and other available documents. After obtaining the specifications, it is necessary to study the intended resolver in the simulation software environment and its performance and compare it with the specifications in the catalog. Based on the information obtained from that investigation, including the harmonic spectrum of the output voltage, and obtaining the analytical relationship of the shape of the rotor with these components, the accuracy of the resolver will be increased by changing the structure of the rotor.
