چکیده :
Accurate modeling of lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) is essential for optimal management of their performance in many applications including transportation and electric vehicles. Literature review shows that some equivalent circuits have been introduced to model the LIB. This paper aims to verify which equivalent circuit can simulate the LIB electrical performance more exactly and accurately. To this end, a literature review is performed first to attain different equivalent circuit models (ECMs) introduced for the LIBs. Then, a commercial LIB is tested in a discharge-rest process to sample and record its voltage and current signals. Optimization program is arranged using the recorded experimental data to estimate parameters of the ECMs; the program is solved using the particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm. Finally, every ECM with its estimated parameters is used to compute the battery terminal voltage profile during the discharge-rest process under the same load current and compared to the voltage profile recorded in the experimental test. The comparison shows that the so-called dual polarization model (DPM) performs best.
