چکیده :
Selsyns are electromagnetic position sensors commonly used in the closed-loop control of permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSMs). Two-phase selsyns, known as resolvers, differ from synchros, which have a three-phase structure. The three-phase configuration of synchros allows them to continue functioning even if one phase experiences an open-circuit fault, providing higher reliability compared to resolvers. This paper focuses on synchros and their applications. Structurally and operationally, selsyns share similarities with electrical machines. In this paper, we present a fast and accurate hybrid model of a synchros with wound rotor structures. This model is easily implemented in software, such as MATLAB. To demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed model, we compare the performance of a wound rotor (WR) synchro calculated using both the model and finite element method (FEM). The findings indicate that the proposed method can be effectively applied for designing and optimizing WR synchros.
