چکیده :
This paper develops a comprehensive design-of-experiment (DOE) optimization for coaxial magnetic coupling based on analytical design, the three-dimensional finite element method (3D-FEM), and the Taguchi method. This paper discusses using coaxial magnetic coupling to protect permanent magnet (PM) generators from damage in aircraft. Thus, the concept of decoupling a PM generator using coaxial magnetic coupling is introduced. When considering the radial magnetization for PMs, an analytical expression for the torque applied between two PMs is calculated. This torque equation is then used to describe the role of each PM in a magnetic coupler. As a result, the design method's output can be accurately estimated. In addition, the multi-objective optimization method is used to optimize the two rotors' structure parameters for the pull-out torque, safe margin angle, maximum pull-out torque to PM volume, and stress, which greatly improves the optimization efficiency and accuracy.
