چکیده :
This paper proposes the internal model control (IMC) approach for the brushless doubly fed induction machine (BDFIM) drive system. The gains and the integration time of the proportional-integral (PI) controller are directly defined based on the desired closed-loop bandwidth and the machine parameters. This simplifies the controller design process, and eliminates the needs for trial-and-error iterations. The maximum torque per ampere (MTPIA) control strategy is also proposed to minimize the inverter rating of the BDFIM. Using the proposed MTPIA control strategy, an independent reference value of the direct-axis current of the control winding (CW) of the BDFIM is obtained, irrespective of the CW frequency and torque level of the machine.
