چکیده :
Most switched capacitor inverters require large capacitors, even for low-power applications, because the capacitance is typically selected based on the longest discharge period of the inverter’s output voltage (e.g., 50 Hz), making the inverter bulky, heavy, and costly. This article proposes a seven-level SC-MLI with Hybrid-PWM that adjusts the capacitance based on the switching frequency rather than the output frequency, which reduces the required capacitor size. Additionally, this inverter offers several advantages, including a reduced component count, a voltage gain three times greater than the input voltage, self-balancing of capacitor voltage, and a minimized need for isolated DC sources to drive the switches. Simulation results verify the performance of the proposed inverter with both resistive and R-L loads.
