چکیده :
This paper introduces a new topology of a flux-switching permanent magnet motor with a segmented outer rotor (SOR-FSPM). The proposed design features a 12-slot stator with dual sets of three-phase, single-layer concentrated windings. Six identical permanent magnets (PMs) are embedded in alternating stator teeth with alternating polarities, effectively increasing the winding area and enhancing tolerance to the demagnetization phenomenon. The rotor comprises seven identical laminated segments, reducing both the machine's weight and magnetic flux path length, which in turn decreases iron losses and improves efficiency. To further enhance the electromagnetic performance of the proposed machine, modifications to the stator tooth shape have been implemented. To analyze the impact of these structural modifications and to determine the optimal model, the response surface methodology (RSM) has been employed. RSM is utilized to explore the design space thoroughly, capturing the nonlinear interactions among key parameters. Finally, finite element (FE) simulation results for the optimized model are presented and benchmarked against the initial design, demonstrating the effectiveness of the optimization process.
