چکیده :
Reducing cogging torque in permanent magnet machines is crucial for enhancing performance and minimizing vibrations and noise. This paper presents a method for reducing cogging torque in a Ring Winding Axial Flux Permanent Magnet (RWAFPM) motor using Soft Magnetic Composite (SMC) materials. The motor, designed for electric vehicle applications, is optimized through a genetic algorithm to refine the stator tooth geometry. A comparison of the Improved models with the initial design demonstrates that the use of SMC considerably reduces both torque ripple and cogging torque.
