چکیده :
A step-up DC/DC converter is required to match the battery pack voltage to the DC link capacitor of the propulsion system in battery pack-based electric vehicles. Typically, the nominal voltage of a single cell varies from 4.17 V to 3.15 V, and the DC link voltage is typically between 300 V and 500 V. This paper proposes a novel step-up DC/DC converter that is capable of providing a wide range of voltage boost from input to output using a series isolated boost module. Modified versions of the Boost and Cuk converters are designed and used to provide a flexible output voltage, combining the voltage boost capability with the ability to embed a medium/high frequency transformer that provides both galvanic isolation and an additional degree of voltage boost while drawing continuous input current from the battery module with minimal ripple, increasing performance. The proposed converter offers the advantages of improved controllability, scalability, and greater reliability, especially during minor faults. The proposed converter's feasibility was demonstrated through computer simulations conducted using PSCAD X4 4.5 software
