Latest Advances of Model Predictive Control in Electrical Drives:
The application of model predictive control to electric drives has been extensively studied over the past decade. This presentation presents the most relevant contributions published in recent years, focusing mainly on some important issues: calculating the weighting factor when multiple objectives are used in the cost function, optimizing the current/torque harmonic distortion when the switching frequency of the power converter is reduced, and improving robustness against parameter uncertainties. Therefore, this presentation aims to provide researchers with a more accurate overview while facilitating their future research in this exciting field.
